In the Office Manager view, click Users, click the user's name, then click the Voicemail tab. Make changes, then click Save.
Inbox
- Enable Voicemail – turns voicemail on or off.
- Options – what the user hears when calling in: newest messages first, announce the time received, announce the caller's number.
- Operator Forward – where a caller goes if they press 0 during the greeting. Let callers know in the greeting that they can press 0.
- Number of Messages – shows how many messages are in the mailbox right now (you can't change this number). Clear messages deletes the messages but keeps the greetings.
- Voicemail Transcription – shows voicemails as text in the user's messages.
Data
- Limit and Used – the mailbox's storage. Clear data deletes all messages, greetings, and the name recording.
Greetings
- Choose the active greeting from the list, play it, or download it.
- To add one, open Add Greetings and choose Upload (MP3 or WAV), Record (the system calls the number you enter and you record after the prompt, then press #), or Text-to-speech (type it and pick a voice).
- Recorded Name – needed for the dial-by-name directory. Click it to listen, or upload or record a new one.
Voicemail to email
- Email Notifications – check Receive an email for new voicemail, then choose the Email Type (a link or the recording attached) and, under After Email Notification, what happens to the message afterward (for example, leave it as new).
- Options – send an email when the mailbox is full, or after a missed call.
