Open a user
- In the Office Manager view, click Users.
- Click the user's name. You'll see tabs for Profile, Answering Rules, Voicemail, Phones, and Advanced.
Tip: search by name, extension, or department at the top-left of the Users page, and click a blue column header to sort.
Profile tab
Change any of these, then click Save:
- First Name / Last Name – the last name is what the dial-by-name directory matches.
- Login Name – read-only. This is what they use to log in.
- Department and Site
- Overwrite with Site Defaults – leave this as it is unless UnaDial tells you otherwise
- Timezone
- Directory Options – Announce in Audio Directory (callers can find them in the dial-by-name directory) and List in Directory (they show in the company contact list)
- Area Code – used for 7-digit local dialing
- Caller ID – the number people see when this user calls. Pick it from the list.
- Emergency Caller ID – the number sent when they call 911. This can't be changed here.
Important: The Emergency Caller ID is the number the 911 operator sees, so it must be registered to the address where the user works. If it's wrong, call UnaDial support right away.
Advanced tab
- User Status – the account's login status (for example, Password Required).
- Email(s) – the user's email address, used for password resets.
- Reset User – deletes the user's settings and data. Don't use this unless UnaDial support tells you to.
