Holiday hours take two steps: create the holiday time frame, then tell each user's answering rules what to do during it.
Step 1: Create the holiday time frame
- In the Office Manager view, click Time Frames.
- Click Add Time Frame, or click the name of an existing holiday time frame to edit it.
- Give it a name, like "Thanksgiving," choose Specific dates or ranges, and pick the dates. (You can't rename a time frame later.)
- Click Save.
Step 2: Add it to each user's answering rules
- Click Users, then click the name of a user who needs the holiday hours.
- Click Answering Rules.
- If the holiday time frame isn't already there, click Add Rule.
- In the Time Frame list, choose your holiday time frame.
- Choose what happens to calls, like Do Not Disturb or forwarding. See "Managing a user's answering rules."
- Click Save.
- Drag the holiday rule to the top of the list so it wins over your regular hours, then click Save.
Repeat Step 2 for each user who needs it.
