Installing and logging in to Snap Mobile

Snap Mobile turns your cell phone into an extension of your business phone. You can make and answer calls with your work number, check voicemail, and manage your answering rules and contacts on the go.

What you need

  • An Android phone or iPhone
  • Your Voice Portal login from your Welcome Email
  • Wi-Fi or cell data. On cell data, calls use your data plan.

Download the app

Search for Snap Mobile in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and install it.

Good to know: On Android, the latest version needs Android 9 or newer.

You'll need your Voice Portal login from your Welcome Email.

  1. Open the app.
  2. Enter:
    • Host ID: mypbx
    • Login: your Voice Portal login name (your extension, then @, then your company ID)
    • Password: your Voice Portal password
  3. Sign in.

After the first time, the app remembers your login details. The app adds itself as one of your phones automatically, so there's nothing else to set up.

Set up from the Voice Portal instead

  1. Log in to the Voice Portal and click the Phones icon. (Office managers: click your name, then My Account, then Phones.)
  2. Click SNAPmobile.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone to download the app, then enter the details shown on that page into the app.

Tip: Wi-Fi usually gives the best call quality. Cell data works too, but quality can vary.

Want the app to ring with your desk phone? It doesn't do that automatically. Add it with a simultaneous ring answering rule. See "Setting up answering rules (forwarding, Do Not Disturb, and more)."
