Unusual entries in your call history

In your call history, the To column usually shows the person or number a call reached. Sometimes it shows a word from the phone system instead. Here's what the common ones mean.

Words you may see in the To column

  • VMail – nobody answered in time, so the call went to voicemail.
  • SpeakAccount – the caller hung up while a voicemail greeting or voicemail menu was playing, before leaving a message.
  • System or nms – the call ended inside the phone system before it reached a person or a mailbox. For example, the caller hung up while your phone menu (auto attendant) was playing.

The QOS column

QOS is a call quality score, shown when it's available. It's a VoIP quality (MOS) score from 1 to 5, and higher is better. A score below 4 means that call had quality problems. See "Fixing call quality problems on your desk phone."
