Choose what callers hear when you put them on hold. You can mix music with short messages, like "Thanks for holding. Someone will be with you shortly." These are often called comfort messages, and they help keep callers from hanging up. You can also use them for promotions or wait-time updates.
Open your music on hold
- Most users: log in to the Voice Portal and click the Music On Hold icon at the top of the page.
- Office managers: click your name in the top-right corner, choose My Account, then click Music On Hold.
From there you can manage the music and message files for your extension, and adjust settings like the time between messages.
Good to know: The option to copy music and messages from your company's settings only appears when your list is empty.
