Allowing or blocking callers

Block unwanted callers, or let important callers always ring through.

• Allowed numbers ring through right away, even when you have call screening or Do Not Disturb turned on in the Voice Portal. (Pressing the Do Not Disturb button on your desk phone still blocks them.)
• Blocked numbers hear a fast busy signal or a "number disconnected" message.

Steps

1. Log in to the Voice Portal. (Office managers: first click your name in the top-right corner, then My Account.)
2. Click the Answering Rules icon, then click Allow/Block.
3. To allow a number: under ALLOWED NUMBERS, click the Enter a number box, type the number, and click the add button.
4. To block a number: under BLOCKED NUMBERS, click the Enter a number box, type the number, and click the add button.
5. To block anonymous and unknown callers: check Block anonymous or unknown.
6. To remove a number from either list, click the remove button next to it.
7. Click Done.

Tip: Have a long list? Click Import to download a template, fill in your numbers, and upload them all at once.
