The keys on your phone

Everything else is on the touchscreen. Buttons like Answer, End Call, Conference, History, and Directory appear at the bottom of the screen. If your phone has keys set up for co-workers, tap one to call that person.

Good to know: When you have a new voicemail, the phone's power light slowly flashes red.

Making and answering calls

Make a call

  1. Lift the handset, or press Speakerphone or Headset.
  2. Dial the number, then tap Send.

Answer a call: lift the handset, press Speakerphone or Headset, or tap Answer.

End a call: hang up, or tap End Call.

Hold: press Hold. To pick the call back up, press Hold again or tap Resume. If you have more than one call on hold, tap the one you want, then tap Resume.

Mute: press Mute. Press it again to unmute.

Redial: press Redial to see the numbers you've called, then tap one to call it. To call the last number again, press Redial twice.

A second call comes in: tap Answer. Your first call goes on hold. To go back to it, tap the held call, then tap Resume.

3-way conference calls

  1. During a call, tap Conference. The first person goes on hold.
  2. Dial the second person.
  3. When they answer, tap Conference again. Now all three of you are connected.

If you hang up, the conference ends for everyone.

Transferring calls

Talk to them first

  1. During the call, press Transfer. The caller goes on hold.
  2. Dial the extension or phone number.
  3. When they answer, tell them about the call, then press Transfer again.

Send it right away

  1. During the call, press Transfer.
  2. Dial the extension or phone number.
  3. Press Transfer again as soon as you hear it ringing. If you see B Transfer on the screen, you can tap it instead.

Send it straight to voicemail: press Transfer, dial * plus their extension (like *101), then press Transfer again. The caller goes to that person's voicemail without ringing their phone.

Voicemail, call history, and contacts

  • Voicemail: press Message (or dial *98), enter your passcode, then press #. See "Checking your voicemail from your desk phone" and "Your voicemail phone menu."
  • Call history: tap History to see your placed, received, and missed calls.
  • Contacts: tap Directory.
  • Volume: during a call, press Volume to change how loud the call is. When you're not on a call, press Volume to change how loud the phone rings.

  2. Tap Common to change the ring tone for all your lines.

Using a Bluetooth headset

The T57W has Bluetooth built in.

  1. Tap Menu, then Basic, then Bluetooth.
  2. Turn Bluetooth on.
  3. Put your headset in pairing mode. Your headset's instructions explain how.
  4. Tap Scan, then tap your headset in the list.

When it's connected, a Bluetooth symbol shows at the top of the screen.

Wi-Fi

The T57W has Wi-Fi built in. UnaDial support sets up Wi-Fi on your phone for you. Call 833-651-DIAL or open a support ticket. A wired network connection still gives the best call quality.

Moving your phone? Call UnaDial support before you take your phone to a new location, like home. 911 may not work properly when your phone is away from the office. See "Using your desk phone at home."

If something isn't working

Restart your phone: unplug the phone's power adapter, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. If your phone has no power adapter, it gets its power from the network cable, so unplug that cable instead. Wait for the phone to finish starting up.

Important: Don't factory reset your phone unless UnaDial support asks you to. A reset erases the phone's settings, and it may not be able to make calls until it's set up again.

Still having trouble? Call UnaDial support and have the phone's MAC address ready. It's printed on a label on the back of the phone, or you can tap Menu, then Status, and look for MAC. See also "Fixing call quality problems on your desk phone."
