Hold vs. park
- Hold only works on your own phone. A held call can't be picked up from another phone.
- Park works across your whole office. A parked call can be picked up from any phone.
Park a call
- While on the call, dial ***.
- Listen for the spot number. The system says something like "The call is parked at 701."
- Hang up.
Pick up a parked call
From any phone, dial *55 plus the spot number. For example, dial *55701 to pick up a call parked at 701.
Answer a co-worker's ringing phone
To pick up a call that's ringing on someone else's phone, dial *35 plus their extension. For example, dial *35101 to answer a call ringing at extension 101. If your phone has a BLF button for that person, you can press it instead.
Move a call to another of your phones
On a call at your desk and need to walk away? From another one of your phones that isn't on a call, dial *34 to pull the call over to that phone.
