Most Web Phone problems come from browser settings. Here's how to fix them in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Let the Web Phone use your microphone
If people can't hear you, your browser may be blocking the microphone.
Chrome
- Open the Web Phone.
- Click View site information, the icon to the left of the web address.
- Click Site settings.
- Next to Microphone, choose Allow. Changes save automatically.
- Reload the page.
Edge
- Open the Web Phone.
- Click the lock icon in the address bar.
- Next to Microphone, choose Allow.
- Reload the page.
Turn on notifications
Notifications let you see incoming calls when the Web Phone tab isn't in front.
- Chrome: click View site information (left of the web address) and turn on Notifications.
- Edge: click View site information, then Permissions for this site, and set Notifications to Allow.
Clear the Web Phone's saved data
If the Web Phone is stuck or acting strangely, clearing its saved data often fixes it. You'll need to log in again afterward.
Chrome
- Click More (the three dots, top right), then Settings.
- Click Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies, then See all site data and permissions.
- Search for simplelogin.
- Click the Delete icon next to it, then Delete.
Edge
- Click Settings and more (the three dots, top right), then Settings.
- Click Privacy, search, and services, then Cookies, then See all cookies and site data.
- Search for simplelogin.
- Click the down arrow next to it, then Delete.
Then open the Web Phone again and log in.
